EDITING

Today’s technology makes it possible to shape amazing results out of every recording. We're experts at manipulating audio in mind-bending ways. With thousands of hours of experience, we know how to work sonic magic and deliver a manipulated end-product that sounds natural.

AUDIO RESTORATION + FORENSICs

Got pops, clicks, distortion, or other undesirable elements in your audio? Field recording can yield some pretty challenging issues. Clearing out unwanted sounds so you hear only the material you want is no problem. We're equipped with digital resources from manufactures like Cedar, iZotope, Waves, and Sound Toys. If you’re looking to clean up a family memory, fix audio that isn’t easy to understand, clarify dialog for post-production, or just improve bad audio, we’ve got what you need.

live + broadcast mixing

Concerts, corporate events, live or pre taped television broadcasts, we're able to to deliver the result you are looking for. If your event or program needs a sound mixer, consider us.

MIXING

Acacia has a reputation of client-focused results that turn heads and stand the test of time. We're equipped with a hybrid of yesterday’s analog and today’s digital technology to help customers realize their vision. Owner/engineer Luke Rohwer has close to two decades of experience working with clients from around the world, and he is passionately focused on creating results that top charts and win awards.

Mastering

Making sure your product translates from studio to speaker is critical in today’s evolving format of deliverable mediums. From radio and television, to iTunes or YouTube, just being loud doesn’t work. The mastering process at Acacia ensures your product will sound its best however it’s conveyed.

You may have heard that Acacia is undergoing renovations. Though we are completely renovating our facility, business has not stopped. We are moving our talent resources to Takoma Park. SAME GREAT SOUND, NEW LOCATION.

The Takoma Park studio is acoustically designed to help capture the best possible sound while providing an amazingly flexible environment. It is a place you can feel comfortable to create in.

EQUIPMENT

We are an Avid Pro Tools based facility operating on the most current versions and hardware available. The primary rig is a Mac Pro hosting Avid HDx with 64 channels of HD interfacing and S6 M40 console. Our third party software inventory is always growing. On the analog side we have a deep lineup of amazing tools. Our microphone locker is stocked with major manufactures and models of all types and flavors. Tubes rule and the vibe of analog is something that sets us apart from today’s software-driven trends.
